WARTS

Warts are small, benign, and rough growths that appear on the skin when infected with human papillomavirus (HPV). There are various types of warts and each affects a different part of the body. Warts usually affect the hands, but you can also have warts on the foot, face, and other body parts.

How do I know I have warts?

You can diagnose warts by simply checking the rough bumps on the skin. The bumps can be skin-colored, brown, or black.

Warts develop when HPV enters a cut in the skin and causes an infection. This makes children susceptible to warts because they get a lot of skin breaks and cuts. Warts aren’t life-threatening but they are highly contagious.

How to treat it?
